COUNSELLOR

Sarah Preston (BSc (Hons), PGDip, MBACP)

I am here to offer a calm, confidential, safe space to explore with you what is going on in your life whether or not you have a sense of what might have brought you to this point. I see adults and young people (aged 18+) online or face-to-face depending on your requirements and preference.

I have worked in both NHS and service settings and have experience in working with a wide range of issues including loss, health concerns, low mood and adjustment following stressful life events. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years with the NHS as a speech and language therapist, specialising in working with adults and young people experiencing anxiety in speaking situations. I have also worked as a volunteer listener and I currently oversee academic and pastoral care matters in a local school.

I work online and in person and fees vary according to location. My primary location is Helmsley but I am also able to offer online clients the opportunity to meet in person on a one off or ad hoc basis in both York (YO1) and London (SW18). Fees are £60 for Helmsley and York and £70 for London (up to an hour).
